Weston Cross (restored for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria) and the Old Hall (17th.C). Notice the outcrop of rock between the garden wall and the cross, and who is that leaning on the wall? This rock disappeared to make way for the road, which flowed around the cross and left it very exposed to being hit by traffic. This did indeed cause its inevitable damage and rebuilding on its present site on traffic-free ground, some 200 metres away from where it is on this postcard, .
The Old Hall is now offices for a neighbouring coach firm.
