This is a view of the Runcorn Water Works Pumping Station. This was opened in 1868 . These buildings were all taken down in the 1950's and a deep borehole which had supplied the water to the town was filled in. Runcorn now gets water from the River Dee. The site is now housing, including the former pump stion managers house.
